FUN HOME OFFICE GIFT/ FERTILITY SYMBOL/ FROGS/ PRINCES /PAPER MACHE FROG/AFROCENTRIC ART
Way back when, frogs were a fertility symbol to the Egyptians. In fact, the water goddess Heket was often depicted as a woman with the head of a frog. Frogs were also the symbol of the midwife goddess Heqit, and women seeking her blessing often wore frog jewelry.
Now we can't (wont't) make any promises, but there's got to be something behind all of those frog/prince stories! This little 'prince' measures just 2 1/4" high by 3 3/4' wide, and he was handmade in Haiti.
He's mainly gold with black stripes and googly blue eyes. Somebody should kiss, or at least put him on a corner of your desk.
